Falling off the bandwagon.... or Moped.

Well I just suck at every new years resolution I make. I got carried away with the weekend that I totally spaced the blog!!

Nothing exciting this weekend happened, except Saturday night was a LOT of fun. Wesley and I decided we were going to drink, we were going to go out, and we were going to have fun damn it! We ended up going to visit our favorite bartender at El Som. This man hooks it up for us every single time. Wesley had two big beers, I had 3 mixed drinks, and we took two Baby Guinness shots.  All for $10. Craig you are the absolute man. For those of you that don't know what a Baby Guinness is, I suggest you try it. The smoothest, most delicious shot of all time. Wesley doesn't even like Coffee and he loves this shot. It is half a shot of coffee patron, and half a shot of baileys irish cream. The trick is to pour the patron into the shot glass first, and then very carefully pour the baileys on top. If you do it correctly it will appear as so ^^^^... like a baby Guinness beer :) Soooo Smooth and Sooooo Good. If your in my area, go to the old el som, tell Craig you know me and Wesley, and he'll be sure to hook you up.

Well after the couple rounds of drinks we headed to a fishing team party. Wesley thinks he is some fishing team God, so he likes to make appearances at these things. Really I can't blame him, those youngins really do look up to him. Well of course this place was loaded with dudes, and only four girls. All four of which were taken by members on the team. The team is so young me and Wesley felt like old people. Well I got tired of hearing Wesley talk about fishing techniques and yadda yadda yadda to all of the new members so I ended up giving the girlfriends words of advice. Smile, Nod, Look Pretty, and Ignore... for your sanity. Let the boys think you care, give them something to show off other than their boats and fish, but keep your mind sane and ignore all the fishing talk. Ask any fishing girlfriend/wife of a few years and they will agree with me.

When the party started dying down, Wesley somehow convinced some of the freshmen to take us all riding on dirt roads. There is nothing I love more than hanging with some good friends, drinking good beer, listening to good music and getting lost on some riding dirt roads. Always seems to be a good end to the night, to bad that wasn't the end of our night.

When Wesley and I got home we were STARVING. It was about 1 am and all we could think about was a Hungry Howies pizza. Again... if you've never tried it... TRY IT. Get Cajun seasoned crust but ask for the whole thing to be seasoned. You won't regret it. Well anyways, they said they were running behind and it would be about an hour, well we weren't to worried about it we had Wesley's junkyard moped to ride around on until they got there. I wish I had a picture so you all could see it, he found it next door when the neighbors moved out. It looked like the thing hadn't been touched in 3 years. Rusted all over, the motor was falling off, all the lights were busted out on it, and it wouldn't even crank. My handy boyfriend decided this was going to be his project, and while its still in the works, he at least has it working and its starting to turn out to be a pretty good bike. I've always been to scared to ride the thing, but Saturday night I had some liquid courage in me and I was finally going to take it for a spin in the neighborhood. It was awesome!! Rode it around the circle twice, rode it around the house like 10 times, and then Wesley told me to park it in the garage because the pizza should be here any minute.

I crashed.... Ten feet from the garage.

I broke his right brake, one of the handle bars went into the right side of my chest and left the nastiest cut and GIANT bruise, i cut up my leg, my hands have cuts and bruises all over them. I basically look like I got in a nasty bar fight in the ghetto. Wesley thought this was the funniest thing in the world, and still does. Three days later and he is still telling the story to everyone we run into. I on the other hand have been in pain from the second it happened. The handle bar hit me so hard I can't move my left arm and every time I even think about using the upper left side of my body it throbs. I wish I could show a picture of how nasty this cut and bruise is, but it is just a little to graphic for a blogger post.

As much pain as I still am today, and for how simple the night was, I haven't had so much fun in a long time. Wesley and I act old sometimes He works 40 hrs a week and I'm in school that is basically a job with clinicals 40 hrs a week, so how could you blame us? I love when we remember that we are still kids, and act like it. Saturday night reminded me once again why I fell in love with that guy. We both let loose and just acted crazy and stupid. I needed it. I really did.

I'm going to do better, I promise myself.
Off to do some studying.
Smile Big. Dream Bigger.
